I’m Blake Borges, an illustrator and photographer who rediscovered art eight years ago and never let go again. What began as a way to stay grounded slowly became my anchor, carrying me through school, work, and the quiet stretches of life in Humboldt. My practice centers on ink and watercolor illustration, digital media, and photography, each one giving me a different way to explore emotion, atmosphere, and the strange beauty in ordinary moments.

I create by hand because human imagination has a depth that cannot be automated. AI images are recognizable not just because of their glitches but because they feel hollow. When you look at an AI‑generated person, the expression is vacant, soulless, like there is no consciousness behind the eyes. And the more people rely on AI to make art for them, the more that emptiness spreads which is a mindset that treats creativity as disposable and replaces soul with convenience.

My work is intentionally the opposite. It is shaped by intuition, texture, and the imperfections that make art feel alive. Organic Intelligence Studios is my commitment to keeping creativity human, to resisting the pull toward soulless production, and to honoring the spark that only real hands and real minds can create.
